I'm a godmommy. I cannot believe my best snce since I was four and she was fave, had a baby over two years ago now. He was born two months and the doctors were scared that he wasn't going to make it. He was only 3.9 pounds when he was born. Now he is two years old and he is walking and talking.
On Saturday September 20, 2008, Maeson, my godson, said "Godmomommy" for the first time. He was so excited to see me. It was the greatest feeling in the world. I hugged him and kissed him and taught him how to play tag that day. Maeson is learning so much so fast.
The doctors thought he would be delaied a few months to a year. So during the summer I went on Starfall.com and taught him his letters and the sounds. I have also been counting with him.
The beginning of this month he started school. His teachers told him mother how smart he is for his age and how he knows so much. She told me "Godmommy knows how to teach my godbaby." I was so happy.
That monday i picked him up from school with his mother. He was so excited i came he yelled out "you came come come." That night we went out to dinner and had a very nice evening and i got to spend a lot of time with friend who is also my godsister and my godson.

That's a really adorable story. I don't have a godchild of my own, but I can only imagine how happy you were when you said "godmommy" for the first time. Did your godson inspire you to become a teacher?
I feel your excitement. wish i could have read about it, but the speel chock button must not have been working. Maeson is a mad-cool way to spell that name. although the spell check button was working with his name either, but that one worked out for the best!
Have fun and keep teaching. i can tell you are pretty good at it.
